Can someone assit me?

OK...I will probably get thrashed for this, but I am soooo confused. I have a CC chip in my slim PStwo and want to add HDD functionality. I see the new HD-Loader is available and I can install that myself. What else do I need? I have drives, I have the mod chiop with the correct firmware to boot backups, but what elose is needed to get my romsonto the hdd? I also have winHIIP on my main pc. So now I put the drive onto my main pc, use winHIIP to format it and copy disks to the drive? the hook up the drive to the PStwo and I am done? the console will then boot the drives images? I am sorry if this is newby in action, but I have read, and reread so many different posts, that I am confused what to do and how to do it. If anyone can provide a step by step guide, I would be forever grateful. i just dont want to buy the wrong stuff and have to make more purchases than is necessary. thanks again guys....
