my birthday is coming up in 4 days and i can get half of these for free. will all these parts work well together? I mainly want to know if any parts are incompatible with each other and if they are a good choice. does the mobo fit in the case? dose the motherboard work with all the other parts alright? i dont know all that much about pcs so please give me your opinion. i also would of chose a slightly nicer motherboard, but its important that it doesnt have SATA since i dont want to replace my current hardrives or dvd burner/cd burner

    thanks!!

yeah i hav amd in my current pc and i am pleased with it, but i jus want to try something different since half of my friends use intel and like it. as far as you can tell, would all the parts be ok? im afraid of ordering all this then finding out the ram is incompatible, or some other thing like that

Looks good to me, but if I were getting an Intel rig, I'd get a motherboard with an Intel chipset. However, you seem to have a budget requirement and I don't think you can do any better for 59.

MOBO with SATA also comes with IDE connector, dont' they???...I have sata hDD and IDE hdd on my PC....you should get a Mobo with sata support because eventually, you'll wanna go for a faster transfer speed....soon sata HDD will be cheap and you will be force to get a sata add-on card...

Most mobos with SATA usually have IDE slots. I wouldn't worry about SATA taking over yet, there's still a large user base for IDE.
