best video capture/tuner software

what ever you do stay away from the dazzle one, I had a dazzle DV100 (which is better then the one you showed) for 8 months, it never worked right and caused nothing but problems.

heres what I use, it costs a good amount of money (which is mostly for the video editing software) but it works great for me.

it comes with a capture card that captures both video and audio via RCA pluga and S-video, it also outputs them the same way so you can record your final projects to video if you want

Cybertainment makes a card w/ cheezy cam for $10 or something...i donno but i read a LOT of good reviews on it...if some1 could find it with or without the cam, in buyin one!

I think the latest GeForce4 offerings from Leadtek in the VIVO linup have A/V capture built in and come with all the software and stuff. Some can do PIP and all kinds of stuff. Check them out at www.leadtek.com The newest one (350) will even directly burn to the DVD-R/RW without saving to HD first!

My A280LE came with a 6ft cord with A/V and S-Video hookups for connecting everything, but I haven't used it yet--so not sure how well it is. According to the manual, my 280LE will capture at 640/480 optimally, so I suppose the newer ones are capable of decent 720/480 (DVD Quality).

I got this It looks cool to me, has all the little features i want, and at a affordable price, just purchased it 2 hours ago...still not here yet :-/ LOL. lets go back to necrolop's first question, i need something for EDITING video now...is adobe premiere easy? i want something easy, i don't care about the options as of yet.
