    how in the world can i connect my laptop to my pc as a network. my pc ix running xp and my laptop is running 2000 nt.

    i thought if a had a 1394 cable attach to my laptop and had it in the usb port that my pc would automaticly recogzie it, when i try the network wizrd but i was wrong. who knows how to do it?

    ummm, I would recommend Ethernet, if you have a home network that could be easy, depending on your setup you may need an extra NIC card in your PC...elaborate for us.

    well this is what i got:
    dsl modem with built in wireless
    4 ports in the back of the modem
    now i have my laptop and pc hook up to the modem and i can access the internet at the same time with it.the modem is a westell versalink 327 w. do i need a router still?
    everytime i go to the nerwork wizrd i get nowhere.

    LOL that sounds like a modem/ with built in router....you can have a network through that silly

    you have to run the network wizard on both machines, then click view workgroup computers in my network places, tell me if u see the other PC.

    Arrrrr, one problem ye may get is havin' yer 2000 machine talk to yer XP machine. Configure yer XP as more of the server of the network. Pleanty of guides I found in google for this.
