true, and so far this is only 1 of 2 not so great things I can think of about it.
1 if your internet goes down then your phone goes down. but in my expierences internet downages don't last very long and I'm not on all day downloading a crap load of things so I think I'll be safe on that end, plus thers voicemail to catch any calls you can't answer
2. to call out you have to use 11 number dialing (1+area code+the number) but that's only for out going calls so people calling in don't have to dial any special numbers. and on my phone I can program a button to dial the 1760 for me, one extra button push is definatly no big deal for me.
anyways, I think this look promising so I ordered the service so as soon as my adapter gets here I'll let you know how it works.
EDIT: I just found out that I can have vonage automatically foward my calls to a number of my choice, for free, if my internet goes down. a nice little feature if you ask me.
