21 inches of snow for us here in central IL –

Hi, Figured i would post here in off topic because we are supposed to get around 21 inches of snow here in central Illinois, peoria / bloomington area where i am as of the last update i read online, The weather forecasters are calling this a colossal storm and may break a record from 1901 or 111 years ago.
Are any of you guys in the path of this storm? They are expecting power outages and 40 + mph wind gust at time with whiteout conditions starting tomorrow morning, or in a few hours since it is already 3.22 am so yeah crazy. What do you guys think.

lol, i don't feel the warming right now, We going to drop to minus 7 F the day after the storm, i can see this being cold as hell if we loose power as we will be relying on just a gas stove for heat and we are out in the country where we lose power a lot. Where i live since we have a well if our power goes out we have no running water so we went to store and got several gallons of water just in case. Most things was bought out as ppl panicking.

I know what you are going through. My well pump is in a shed.I replaced the fan on the electric motor with a pulley with a bunch holes drilled in it for summertime airflow and hooked it up to an exercise bike. With the power disconnected of course.Surprisingly,I get a reasonable amount of water flow.

Here in the NorthEast, we have been hammered nearly every week since Christmas.....so this is just a "rain storm" for us.
This storm is going to affect at least 100 Million people and is around 2,000 miles long stretching from New Mexico to Maine....1/3 of the country.

Its a big one for sure, certain to make the record books!
We are getting a coating of ice from freezing rain right now....hopefully it warms up above freezing soon and becomes all rain and melt some of this leftover snow/ice we have here now, still about 4-6 inches on the ground. Oh boy, its going to be a flooding mess here.

Its crazy they calling for 2 feet of snow and its already bad blowing and drifting high winds and snowing like crazy, no one is going anywhere for awhile and i hope we don't loose power, A few people i know nearby went to work today and i doubt they will get back home later this evening as it already looks to bad to even consider traveling in so they will probably be sleeping at work lol,
