what is the newest firmware?

so ive been gone on a forced county vacation but i had my sons psp moded it has 5.50 gen d-3 it was done around august. and in the last month ive tried to backup some games an none will work always saying its unable to play do i need to update the firmware? and if so how do i do that?

5.50 Gen D3 is one of the newer CFW. My friend had one also that he wanted me to update to 5.50 Gen D3. Then I went and tried to play some newer games and got stuck. After awhile, I found "Prometheus". It has done the trick for me so far on every game.

5.50 Gen D3 is one of the newer CFW. My friend had one also that he wanted me to update to 5.50 Gen D3. Then I went and tried to play some newer games and got stuck. After awhile, I found "Prometheus". It has done the trick for me so far on every game.

From what I can remember, you place this in the GAMES folder on your memory card, then you run it though XMB/Games! Good luck, I do not have the psp right now, but I can get it back on new years, if you still have any questions.

NO NO NO, not the ISO folder. Like I said, if you want to wait, I will have the PSP on the 31st, and I can tell you the specific folder.

I am pretty sure you put it in the GAMES folder. There should be a GAMES, GAMES150, and GAMESXXX folders, or something like that. Place the extracted folder into the GAMES folder.

Sounds good @zeppigio. My friend will be over on the 31st, and I will try to make you a nice tutorial. He said he still has the Prometheus I installed on his system, so I will know exactly where everything goes.

-Open on PSP @ Game > Memory Stick > 5.50 Prometheus

-After Install, Press X to start CFW
