So its been a while since Dark Alex quit the scene... where does PSP modding stand now? I did a quick google search and it seems like 5.50 is the latest hacked firmware.. where the official firmware is beyond 6.0 now i believe....

Can 5.50 play every game still? Any games require 6.0+ ?

how are people getting around that?

And is there any way to play games that require 6.0? Is there a list of all games that require 6.0+?

if your PSP 2000 is TA-88v3 motherboard .then you cannot use Gen .you can only use Hen

    PSP 5.03 ChickHEN-C : for unhackable PSPs ( PSP 3000 and PSP 2000 TA-88v3)

    PSP 5.50 Gen-D3 : for Hackable PSPs ( PSP 1000 and some PSP 2000)

Take out the battery and read the info-label.

PSP-Model-type and the datecode is interesting.
I think you canīt see the MB-Version this way but it atleast helps to find a correct solution.
Iīm not sure if there are exploitable PSP 2000-Models with datecode 8c (like in FMCBs case), or if none of those work.
