I have a psp slim and about 1/5 of the screen is black (I dropped it). What is the cheapest way to replace my screen? There are some replacement screens on eBay for around $50. There are also some psp systems being sold for parts that are cheaper than that. Can I buy a used system and take of the screen and put it on mine, or do I just need to buy a new screen?

Model number of your PSP is important, 2000 and 3000 have completely different screens.
It's better to use official screen from used console than a replacement from unknown company.

But before that I would take a look inside and check if the cable didn't disconnect.

Yes, check out youtube. There are plenty of step by step tutorials. Word of advice, be very, very careful unclipping the screen's ribbon cables, especially the very thin one. The clip is fragile, and if you break it you're going to need a new motherboard or a new psp. I speak from experience

I think you'd better buy a new screen,if you think the price on eBay is expensive, you can choose other website .my personal opion.
