PSP Semi-Bricked, Recovery system possibly broken.
Hi, About 4-5yrs ago i decided to try Custom firmware for my PSP when it was new and hip and in an attempt to do so, i never quite got off the ground. :(
I installed some kind of cfw which i know very little about (slap on the wrist) and from there my PSP went black. 5yrs later, i decided to auction that bricked PSP but before doing so, i had one last look at it and accidentally held down the R button and saw that it had a Recovery Menu. Here's a screenshot of that:
So for the last few days, i've been Googling on ways to recover from this. I've tried many tutorials, many that were suggested from different websites like this one: (Custom firmware / Semi brick recovery to 1.5 downgrade and including this one which appears to have some relevance with the situation: (Custom Firmware 1.50 Increasing Edition Update2, new released).
Now, from what i'm able to tell, my version of this "Custom Firmware 1.50 Increasing Edition B" is rather old compared to Update 2. I've tried applying files to the directory PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/ [recovery files go here along with 1.50 (UPDATE.PBP) ] but it never works, it's almost like it's asking for a different directory. So i tried what the screen says which my guess would be PSP/GAME/IERECOVERY/┘BOOT.PBP. but no cigar! Why is it written even like this? That makes no sense and what on earth is up with that ascii before BOOT.PBP in the screenshot? If anyone knows anything about this and can help, i would deeply appreciate this and would be eternally grateful. :P
In case you're asking: Why not use a pandora battery? Well, i would but the thing is my psp is bricked and i dont have any way of making one that im aware of. :chinscrat
Card: MemoryStickDuo 32mb (it's rather funny, it's 32mb's only because i've never really made much use of this PSP) :p
