PSP PHAT won't boot; suggestions?
PSP PHAT won't boot; suggestions? –
I have a PSP Phat and I can't get it to boot. I haven't made any changes to it lately or anything at all that would mess it up. However this is what happens when I try to boot.
With the PSP plugged in, the orange light turns on. I hit the switch up to boot, and the screen turns on for a second (just black) and the light turns to green (for the same amount of time) and then the screen turns off and the light returns to orange.
When I try to boot not plugged in (just from battery), nothing happens. I'm pretty sure the battery doesn't have much of a charge.
When I boot with no battery in the PSP, the screen turns on momentarily and the light turns green, and then the screens shuts off and the light turns off completely.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I haven't used the PSP in a while so I sort of forget the normal behavior. Does the PSP usually boot with no battery and AC plugged in?
Thanks in advance.
Okay, i've gotten it to boot. I left the battery on the charger for a long time and came back and its working now.
However, I have two concerns.
Concern #1: The PSP does NOT boot when plugged in and no battery.
This is strange right? Or is this normal?
Concern #2: EVEN WITH the PSP plugged into the wall, it still dies. It's as if the battery is only being charged while its in sleep mode; and it just uses less battery while plugged in.
I've order a new battery, since this is the Sony one that came with it, which should help a bit. But WTF at it not booting with just AC power? Is this normal?
