PSP Phat to PSP slim HELP Please!

Im getting a psp slim soon and I havent modded a psp before so could someone point me in the right direction to a good noob friendly tutorial to mod this thing and get the latest cfw on it.

I dont have any specifics on the slim yet other than its like a 2000 model.

If it helps I have a psp 1001 that is already modded with the latest firmware.

You need to be careful buying a slim at this point because if you buy a PSP3000 by mistake then you will be the proud new owner of a psp that cant run custom firmware yet. Theres not any major benefit of having a slim right now and with the potential for sony comin out with a brand new model this year or next its probably not worth upgrading yet.

BUT if you do get a slim 2000 version, its as simple as using a pandora battery (phat or slim battery makes no difference) and a memory stick with dark alex's latest version of DC which you can get from www.dark-alex.org

you could just make yourself a pandora set using your phat psp it would be the easiest way to put cfw on your slim thats how i did mine as for a tutorial here ya go ^_^

If you're buying a new Slim, get one that is manufactured earlier. You have better chances of it having a hackable motherboard. Read this post to help you choose the right Slim.

In Addition, all Slims are the PSP-200x models. The PSP-3000s are the 300x models.

Personally the best way you can guarentee your slim is moddable is getting the daxter edition psp slim. That and it's the best looking slim that is moddable ^_^

thank guys, ill let you know my results. I wont know what processor or firmware it has untill it is in hand. had I known I probably would have went straight for that dax bundle, looks like I might have to resell.

btw for the 200X models how recently did they start make the unhackable versions. wanting just wondering becuase the one I bought said it was like new and still had the og box, but that could mean it just sat on a shelf for a long time.

they started making the 3000 in october of last year so that should give you some sort of guideline also make sure you checkout the link i sent you in your inbox should be informative ^_^
