PSP 6.30 Question

My friend wants to trade me his PSP for one of my PSJB devices.

Before i spend hours learning everything about these things because i know nothing about them, I want to ask a simple question

It is on FW 6.30

Can this in any way be hacked to run homebrew?

Yep:

No custom firmware though (so no PSP or PS1 backups) You'll have to boot the Hot Shots Golf game each time you want to use homebrew. If it's a fat PSP however it will definitely be able to use Pandora to install Custom Firmware and this also works on some PSP 2000 models.

I just updated my post with a bit more info. Do you know which model the PSP is? 1000, 2000 or 3000?
