PSP-3001 Random Shutdown
I purchased an Assassin's Creed PSP bundle going back a few months or so. If you're not familiar with it, it's the pearl white PSP-3001 model. Anyway, I was quick to install CFW on it since my old, PSP-1001 model finally went to s#!t. I don't know why this happens, but I'll be playing a game, and then without warning, my PSP shuts downs cold.
It's currently running CFW 6.35 PRO-8. I know that CFW 6.60 or something is out right now, but I'm usually slow to update unless it's absolutely necessary. That being said, has anyone else experienced this before? Is there a way to stop this from happening? It's extremely frustrating to be playing a game, get past a difficult section, only to have the PSP shut down on me before I'm able to save. I noticed that upon upgrading to CFW 6.35 PRO-8, they included a "quick recovery" application that I've never seen before. Could the developers have made this knowing that these random shut downs occur?
Any additional information on the subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
well as to why you are having random shutdowns I don't know
but PRO B8 on firmware 6.35 on models besides 1000 and 2000 are not permanent so if you shut psp off you have to use quick recovery to get back to CFW
OK i would recommend you update to PRO B9 myself probably the problem has been fixed and only takes a couple seconds to update one you have it on your psp
