PSP 1000 turns on/off by itself!
PSP 1000 turns on/off by itself! –

Hi everyone! I have a PSP-1000 with a 5.50 Gen A firmware. The last games I installed to it were Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, God of War: Chains of Olympus and Burnout Legends. A few days after installing, my PSP started turning on and off by itself. After turning it on, I can see the menu, then it turns off. It does not completely turn off, I can still see the black screen is lit, then it turns off completely. Then it turns on again.
After a series of turning on and off, I decided to manually delete the games, thinking they must've had some virus. But it got worse. Now my PSP and PC won't read my memory card. Whenever I insert my memory card, the orange light blinks and the PSP won't turn on.
What do I do to get it fixed? Can someone please help me fix my PSP and my old memory card? Thanks!
PS- I tried searching for solutions. I read about the Pandora battery. Will it help fix my PSP? Thanks!

Can you turn on the psp without the memory card inserted? It sounds like the memory card might be dead. It might even be the battery, try turning it on with the battery removed and the power cord plugged in.

Without the memory card it turns on just fine. I also tried it without the battery and just plugged in, it turns on just fine.
I tried removing the memory card for a while. I noticed after sometime even without the memory card, it turned on/off by itself again.

I'd suggest getting a new mem card but since it still turns of with it not in I'm not sure, if you can get your hands on another mem card then upgrade to 6.60 PRO and see if that helps.
Otherwise maybe someone else can give you better advice.

try to get into recovery and find out if you have in plugins running if so turn them off and restart your psp see if it go down again
But if they are all off sounds to me flash problem then you will have to reinstall OFW then CFW and a pandora and magic ms is your friend

Thanks RandQalan and Shaitan, I will try both.
I still hope someone who has experienced the same issues can help me.
