The irony in this one… Man… Sony must be pissed. From the devs talking at Wololo’s end is carlosgs with an EBOOT, this one itself is signed, that, get this — signs other [unsigned] EBOOTs! A homebrew to sign other homebrew for official firmware (OFW).

That is awesome! Cheers to everyone involved once again.

Please note: You may not be able to sign absolutely everything, but things are shaping up nicely.

I wonder if this would help with getting our own PSX EBOOTs to run on the PS3.

Or the game BOOT.BINs could be edited to launch from the memory stick just like the EBOOT hacking on PS3, and just like how backups were initially done on the PSP 6 years ago.

Not on the newly released 6.37 which has the kernel exploit patched, but can of course still run signed EBOOT.PBPs. Plus it would allow games to be launched directly from the XMB. It's not that much of an effort. Replace instances of UMD0:\ with MS0:\.

yes i see what your saying. have you any idea how this works with PSPGO considering there is no UMD?

what would i look for? hdd0 perhaps?

a young family member is using one at the moment with HEN. would be better i think to use this method to avoid them tampering with configurations!

edit: just realizing how stupid that sounds sorry! if i am understanding rite i would change the umd0 to hdd0. obviously the games have been ripped from umd so i shouldn't run into any problems...

Exactly. The dumps are from UMD. Make it load from the MS and repackage as a signed EBOOT.PBP.
