Hey everyone, I already tried searching for tutorials about playing adhoc/multiplayer psx games on psp but I only found outdated ones for old cfw. I read that I might need IRshell but i'm not sure if its compatible with 6.60 pro-b9. I heard it may even brick my psp if i tried installing it. By the way, I have 2 PSP phats 1001 both with 6.60 pro-b9 and I really want to play Team Buddies with my little brother.

There is no Ad-Hoc connection on psx for psp, I'm guessing the psp cpu simply can't handle it along side the emulation. You can install Pro-firmware on any PSP but you can only use the CIPL installer if you have a PSP 1000 or 2000(excluding TA88V3), use psp ident to identify your motherboard version. The CIPL installer allows the psp to boot into CFW mode which makes things slightly more convenient, everyone else simply has to use the fast recovery every time the psp boots up.

That is mostly true except 1g, 2g, 3g, 4g, 5g and if you know how 9G can be perm patched to boot without Fast recovery

    With 6.20 Pro CFW

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be
