Well I've postponed meeting for a couple days w/o any fuss.. maybe I'm just overly paranoid. Is there anything else you guys suggest I look for if I go ahead with this deal?

How much did he want? Anything software wise can be fixed with a pandora battery and a sony MMS. If the hardware is damaged its a dud and their would be no point in trying to replace motherboard and other internals.

Soft modding is easy you could do it in about 15 mins and I suggest if the price is right I would get it.
I suggest making the time during the day and not so you could get mugged and stabbed.

I have already bought around 3 from craigslist they were broken software wise. fixed it up nice.

I have a Silver Daxter, Blue Madden, White Star Wars, 2 Black PHAT ones.. I am looking for a Red God of War and my collection will be complete.

Anything less than 3000 is easier to fix. 2001 can still be unbricked and fixed up with a pandora battery which is the best feature in the world. Anything goes wrong pop that in with some files on your memory stick and boom new psp firmware.

When looking at the PSP: Check the screen (Most of the time it is poorly taken care of and could have lint on the inside from taking it apart)
Other than that make sure the buttons press and the analog nub does not stick.
