Make a MMS with jailbroken PS3

Hi i have a Bricked PSP. I allready made a pandora battery now i need a Magic memory stick, the problem is i dont have a cardreader in my pc only in my jailbroken PS3, i can connect my pc to my PS3 and acces the MS but is there a way to make it a MMS?

Actually it is to fix my PSP so i tought it would be better to post it here... But i cant move the thread myself so apologys. But when i download the files to make a Magic MS and i put them on the MS trough FTW nothing happens. Also in every movie i see on youtube on how to make a Magic MS, they use a program called PSP grade after they put the files on the MS. Or is there a different way?

Maybe see if Linux has any utilities you could compile for making a MMS directly on the PS3 itself(with OtherOS/BootOS)? Making a MMS requires more than just adding some files to the contents of the MS. It adds a low level boot sector too, IIRC.

Is the memory stick showing in the ftp client at all. And you might have to end up running it through linux to get that msipl to get written to the MS

Ok i fixed it by using a friends MS reader, Made a MMS and succesfully unbricked my PSP then upgraded to 3.50 GEN-D3 but i still dont understand how you can upgrade to 6.39. Cause people say yu need to update to OFW first, but how can you install packages on OFW :S Not that i need to update just wondering.

The 6.39 cfw is actually sort of a permanent HEN, but there's also a actual cfw. It's like that for every cfw released. You update to the OFW of the respective cfw, then you run HEN, which is the exploit allowing you to run unsigned homebrew, then you install the cfw with the unsigned installer. Since you're able to use pandora's battery, that must mean you have a 100x or a 200x. I'd recommend either 5.00 m33-6 or 5.50 GEN-D. I'm a M33 person so I'd go with 5.00 m33-6 then install Prometheus to run games that need a higher firmware.

Why stick with a 5.00 FW when the actual one is already 6.39?

@ OP At least get 5.50 GEN-D3 with prometheus for the latest games. If I were you, I'd install 6.20 permanent CFW, since there is almost no difference to 6.39, plugin support is actually worse in 6.39 and you're still on 3.30 CFW.

If you wish to take my advice:

1- Install 6.20 OFW.
2- Install 6.20 CFW and enjoy all the latest games without the hassle of installing patches, fixes and whatnot.

5.00 m33-6 with prometheus does the same as 5.50 gen-d3 with prometheus, just that the vsh menu on gen gives options from the recovery menu while m33 just gives the basics: clock speed, iso loader, usb mount point, etc. If you have a 100x, then the best to go with is 5.00 since you can install the 1.50 kernel. 5.00 was the last cfw that had 1.50 kernel install support

Wooow i dont understand anything of what u guys are saying , sunday was the first time i ever touched a psp. It was bricked and it took me till today to fix it

It was bricked so i made a pandora batery then a MMS with pspgrader, it wouldnt install anything it was allways stuck on formating vflash1 at 1%.

I dont know what i did to fix it I wouldnt even know how to install CFW again + im allready on 5.50 now, or isnt downgrading as hard as on a PS3. But from what ive read PS3JIG only works on 3.50 GEN-D3.

If there is a game i cant play and i wont need the JIG anymore i will just upgrade to 6.20 CFW
