Hi,
I've just bought a used PSP, it's a white slim model, I believe it's a PSP 2xxx version.
In system information, I've got the following:
System Software 6.60 ME-1.8
And when I press "Select", a "6.60 VSH MENU" shows up with CPU settings, access to recovery and stuff.
I'm a complete beginner, please tell me wich CFW is that, and whether I should update it to another CFW.
I've also noticed a problem with the Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo (4GB) that came with it, when inserted, it doesn't get recognized and causes black screen when system starts. Is it an MS problem or a PSP problem?
Please advice..
Thank you

ME is a full CFW it is perm and can run PSP ISO games and PSX games the only down side is it will not load DLC(download content) auto like PRO but you can find a plugin by the author that will allow DLC to work
Memory Stick
Yea it is probably something on seplugins plugin folder running while startup that is causing it
fix shutdown start holding right trigger button go to plugins in recovery folder turn off all VSH plugins back out problems should be solved if not then maybe something like bad block on MS
Hope this helps you out

V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be

I did as you said, but found out that the plugins in recovery folder is empty, there are no plugins to turn off!!
Thank you so much for your help
EDIT: Please know that when inserted, the MS light keeps blinking (orange).

I guess it's content you download for games, like cars for GT! Right?

Unfortunately, I don't have a pc adapter. I'm gonna try another MS and see if it'll work.
Thank you again ^^
