I won another PSP from an auction site for next to nothing. The auction description said it was a 2001 but turns out is a 3001.

So naturally, I have a few questions, specifically for someone "in the know".

I've deduced from research that 3k's can have CFW installed but cannot be perm'd.
Well, I want to experiment.

1a. Did anyone ever get to test an actual Datel Lite Blue Tool before $ony threatened Datel with the lawsuit?
1b. and if so, did it work to put a 3K into service mode?
2. Is their either a dump of the battery eeprom, or a record of the serial of the battery anywhere?
3. Would having the ability to put a PSP-3000 into service mode be of any use to the scene?

The blue never released and you can install CFW permanently on any PSP now. But still no way yo get into service mode. Look for 6.60 Pro B9 or B10 it will allow for CFW to stay on your machine. This has been around a super long time. You don't even need to hack a PSP with CFW we have resigning tools from PS3 hacking to resign your games to play on OFW as well.

Ok. Let's say I do this for my 3000. Just to confirm, will I still need the "fast recovery" crap, or can I boot straight into CFW from power off state?

See, my currently modded PSP is a 1000, and I have been spoiled by its CIPL. Thanks again.

If you go with the 6.20 on it it will boot into CFW if any other above that you will have to use Fast Recovery and like I posted on the other thread it works the same as 6.60 CFW BTW I have uploaded in downloads the newest PRO-C and it even has PSN and PSX PSN if you bought the games from PSN

Uh, PSN? What is the difference between your Pro C (uploaded 2/2013, correct?) and the 6.60 Pro-C fix3 regarding PSN, because I've been playing UNO online with my 1K using the 6.60 Pro-C fix3 without issue outside of the occasional lag, which I attributed to it's small 32mb ram.

The changes are thieir listed on the download page of the PRO-C for the up dates
one of the bigest is

fixed noDRM engine failed on sceIoWaitAsyncCB if sceIoIoctAsync setup key. noDRM just ignore sceIoIoctAsync key setup so sceIoWaitAsyncCB won't get an async operation. now we store this stage in NoDrmFd struct as asyncKeySetup.

That fixed some DLC not working correctly BTW

Ok, yea, I just read that. I was actually just there a few minutes ago looking for new stuff and saw your update.

So in other words, these is no need to hassle with updating until I run into this "noDRM engine failed" issue?

Yea or use fatsma371 patch on PSP 6.60 only AFAIK
