Hey everyone, i'm very late on the hacking scene for PSP and never bother to get involved until now. I know that my PSP can be hacked but i'll post the specs anyway. PSP FAT Version 3.52 (Official Firmware) PSP1001. I read too many guides concerning cfw but i'm kinda lost to which steps i should take and what accessories needed. So I have a few questions.

    1. Do i need either Pandoras Battery or a secondary memory stick?

    2. Which cfw should I install up to? What steps should i take, downgrade or install which ofw?

    3. I have a dead battery, can it be still used for anything such as creating a pandora battery?

I want to avoid all possible ways of bricking. Please let me know of any other details concerning custom firmware. Thank you.

I can answer those really easily you can go to 6.60 and install 6.60 on that model and make it permanent with PRO-B9

Well maybe not everything don't know about your battery but you don't need anything but USB to micro USB connecter to do this

http://psx-scene.com/forums/f160/noo...are-psp-96662/ (A NOOB's GUIDE TO INSTALLING 6.60 PRO- B9 Custom Firmware on PSP)

and you can use CIPL_Flasher to make it perm then delete everything after for room of course but you do need MS to run it and to play backups on MS of course

    V10 SCPH-50001 with Network adapter SCPH-10281 500 G HD
    PSP 3000 9G 6.20 PRO CFW Perm
Unofficial FMCB v1.8C OPL self compiled HD and SMB preferred
Is how all good gaming systems came to be

Thank you so much for providing the link for me! I managed to install it successfully without any problems. Though I don't see the purpose of the sdk folder? It came out corrupted but I still have a permanent CFW. Now i'll try to get into emulating on my psp and start hacking.

The sdk is for compiling or modifying your own version has no use for most people but is included for developers

I'll put up a tutorial soon on emulating PSOne games on the PSP, very nifty and excellent surpasses the need to get an xperia Xplay another useless product from Sony.

By the way, is there any NDS emulator out there for PSP?

Yes there is but the compatibility is way low, I would suggest you stick with emulating the DS on your PC.
