Hey guys I have a psp running CFW 5.03 with hen and 3.60 CFW Enabler. I haven't used my psp in ages. I recently found it and was wondering what is the best software to run on my 88v3?

edit: I found my answer, mod feel free to delete it. In case anyone is trying to find out. update your cfw to gen-c, then update to 5.03 Prometheus-3 v4, make sure you find the(Hen) eboot signed it makes everything so much easier. Good luck!

You don't talk correctly: TA088v3 is not CFW capable, what you use is GEN (I suppose 5.03 GEN-C with prometheus 4 patch)

If I were you, I would try to update to 6.20 and use Total N00b's HEN-C (TN-C). Much easier, faster and pretty than Homebrew Enabler 3.70

5.03 GEN C with prometheus (TCFW) is far closer to being CFW than 6.20 HEN C (LCFW) which is ultimately just a homebrew enabler.

Also with 5.03 signed HEN, its just as fast enabling 5.03 prom-3 (no more scrolling through tiff images to make the screen flash green and reboot) than it is 6.20 TN-C. Until u get TN-D you wont have psx support which u do get with 5.03 prom-3

I think I'll take advantage of this thread
I have a 2004 PSP that I had flashed some CFW last year or somthing... IIRC it was a GEN something firmware ... now with the discovery of psp keys, what is the best fw for a 2004 model? I looked at the usual places but I got more confused LOL

Signed HEN for 5.03? Could I get a link to that? \o/

And does the new 6.00+ HEN have anything over the older ones?

Since you said that you flashed a CFW into that PSP, I'll assume that it does not have a TA-88v3 mainboard.

Unfortunately, the best firmware for those consoles is still... 5.50 GEN-D3 final.
Installing Prometheus-3/Prometheus-4 will make GEN-D3 final a lot better.
With Prometheus, it can run games that need up to firmware 6.31 for Prometheus-3, and up to 6.35 for Prometheus 4.

However, Prometheus-4 is unofficial and doesn't work *properly* on all consoles.

    Lol Amen
But in 6.20 you have sensme, digital comics... just waiting a bit more for for 6.20_TN-D for a good option (I still continue in 5.50 GEN-D3 prometheus-4 patched)...
I forgot 5.03_GEN is now patched too
