5.00 M33-6 Permetheus 4 problem

I am currently on 5.00 M33-6 fresh install with nothing else running or on it. I am trying to get caught up in the scene and I am trying to install Permetheus 4. Every time I install it, it will tell me installation complete and I exit to XMB and I check my FW and it still says 5.00 M33-6. I have tried installing a few times now....no luck. Any advice?

u need to install 5.50 gen-d final, then install prom-4

Hi sorry to hijack the thread a bit.
I'm in a similar situation to the OP. I have a slim model PSP2003 sitting on FW 5.00 M33-6. Autoupdate doesn't work anymore (I get a DNS error). What is the best way forward to play newer games without messing with ISOs? Is it 5.50?
Links and step by step guide for n00bs will be much appreciated.
