Ok, i'm new in psp scene (i was busy on ps2 scene)

I have phat psp 1000 with cfw 3.90 m33 -3

my question is :

1. What is the latest n best cfw for my phat ?
2. Can i just straight instal the latest cfw ?
3. Can u give guide for upgrading the cfw ?
4. I hear that psp can play psx game. But the iso must be modified before copied to MSD.
Can my phat play psx game ? Any guide ?

well there are two CFW one is 5.00 M33 : if you want newest games then it will require to manually decrypt the games .

1-the other one is 5.50 GEN-D3 : play most of the latest games

and also there are some other differences

2- first if you are gunna use Gen D3 then you need to install at GEN D First

3-Google is your friend and youtube is your girlfriend .lol

4- as the third one Google and youtube ..

bcz my friend (google) said the m33's compatibility is good for plugin like popsloader.
Yesterday night i watched my girlfriend (youtube) "how to upgrade" video.
Today i'LL upgrade.
3.90 m33 ==> 4.01 m33 ==> 5.00 m33

If you pandora to 5.00 m33-4, I believe you can go straight to D3 if you have Hellcats, and know how to use it.

Most hombrew is most compatible with M33-6 (i.e. IRShell), but Gen D3 is slowly catching up. D3 is just about as stable as M33-6, but there are few minor bugs here and there, but for the most part, you hit the nail on the head.

Decrypting sucks, so I stick to D3 and when I need to use apps that are only compatible with M33, I pop in my pandora/mms then choose to RUN M33. It doesnt install but it emulates it from there. You can use this method to stay on 6.20 (hackables only) and go to M33 whenever you want to brew it up.

He isn't talking about the PSX version of Gran Turismo 2, he is talking about the new release of Gran Turismo for the PSP. There is a 3k bundle out there now. In order for you to play PSP's GT you would need a decryptor if you are on M33.

My Phat is on 5.00 m33 6 now.

Gen is looks like promising, maybe i will upgrade 2-3 days from now.
Ok my another question before upgrading:

Is Gen Compatible with psx game ?
(In noob question, can Gen play psx game ?)
