So I would like to get another PSP and make the screen reflective instead of backlit (like the original GBA and all the game boys that came before it). Is it possible to remove the backlight and replace it with a mirror of some sort without damaging the LCD? I would eventually like to do this with a DSiXL also, when a used one is cheap enough to hack like this.

You don't have to remove backlit.
There is tons of mirror screen protectors on the market.

That's not what I'm talking about. I'm looking to mod my PSP to use sunlight/ambient light instead of the backlight, much like the gameboys of old. In order to do that, i would have to replace the backlight with a mirror or other reflective surface.
