.mid files (midis) and Game Music Gear MX 1.4?

Is it possible to play midis on Game Music Gear MX 1.4?

I've got midis to work on my PSP following advice and instructions from here using the Timidity++2.11.3:

However there is no GUI with that app and it isn't very user friendly and I have to exit the program each time it plays through all of the midis I have.\

So for anyone out there that have used the better Music player, Game Music Gear MX v1.4 (available here: PSP Downloads | Game Music Gear MX v1.4), were you able to get .mid files on it to work? I've tried it and no luck, I've read somewhere it should with the right plugins and configurations, etc., but weren't able to find any information on it. So if anyone out there that got it to work please tell me or point me in the right direction. Much oblige! Thanks!
