What should I do? –
Slim PS2 SCPH-77001 6C
Blank Cds and Dvds
I'm a broke college student. I can't afford Swap Magic right now. All I want to do is play my backup games. The original discs have become too scratched or have broken. I've already done the sensor modding. I can't do the USB Flash Drive with codebreaker. My model prevents flash drives from being used.....stupid Sony...I really want this to work because I sure as hell can't afford a new graphics card to make the PS2 PC emulator work well enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Correct me if I'm wrong but couldn't the codebreaker be used as a swap disc?
That's the way I understood it, and I tried using the CDGENPS2 3.0 method, but it just freezes when codebreaker says starting game. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Thought maybe it was my CD. Was using a memorex CD-R. Tried it again using a Maxell CD-R. Still no luck.
For game swapping, it seems that NTGUI is flaky at best. I've stopped trying to use it. I have a demo disc that came with Soul Calibur 3. Namco Transmission v3.2. 2 of the demos have their own folder and .ELF files. I'm getting the usual redscreens, but in theory, they should work. Am I doing something wrong? I'm using imgburn to get the ISO, apache to edit the TOC and replace the ELF with the renamed uncompressed launcher, imgburn to burn it to a Maxell DVDR, and I'm swapping very quickly at the screen where I have to press a button to start the game. Do I need to let it read the disc for a sec after I swap it before hitting a button? Am I doing something else wrong?
I know i had troubles to install fcmb on the MC the first time and i have followed the tutorial and no luck, somehow after insisting a little it worked . I have used the Game Swap trick (open your ps2, play the original game, swap the cd's) with the game Splinter Cell Chaos Theory if that can help you.
Tested on SCPH-30004 R (pal)
I gave up and mailed my memory card to one of the volunteer installers. lol. I should hopefully get it back in a week.
