Ok, I'm trying to install McBoot on my ps slim 79000-xxxxx 7C model. I have the AR Max which has the media player. I can 't get my usb flash drive to read the files I need. I'm using 8gig flash drive, I've tried two different drives and nothing. Could anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong or lead me in the right path?
Not sure if this is true or not, but I heard something about higher compatibility if it has a blinking light on it. Or maybe that had no relevance. I do however had an 8gb flash drive that works perfectly fine.
i think its dependant on the chipset on the stick. SANDISK always seem to work. i had a 1Gb Toshiba that would not work. i currently use a 1Gb sandisk for all my installs. i have a HP branded 512Mb stick given to me when i worked there.. it seems to work fine.
it does depend on how good the stick is and what drivers the PS2 software is using.... with the latest uLE the drivers seem much more tolerant of brands of USB stick....
