Try SanDisk, I succesfully used one of 2Gb, another of 256 Mb. I also used Kingston of 2Gb and 8Gb with latest ule.

I depends on the manufacturer and drivers, PS2 console version, as far as I know, no furthers things to know.

I think there is a small list somewhere here in the forum,
but i'm not sure if it's up do date.
If you want to use ule with it, you also have the option to change the USB drivers, so the possibility that it will work with it is quite high.
Mostly that's only necessary for some old models.

This list is actually fairly large, but it is NOT a FMCB compatibility list. It is more a list of USB memory devices that have worked with different homebrew, and commercial programs over the years.

If you want to get nearly 100% compatibility with all known software for PS2, it seems SanDisk is the only one.

Lexar jump drives are compatible with FMCB and almost everything, but Codebreaker.

You may be able to get FMCB to install using something you already have, such as a digital camera, phone that has USB drive mode and USB cable, IPOD in drive mode, or a PSP in USB mode.

Since you have a PSP, just use that
I just tested my first gen one in USB mode and it worked fine!

Next I'm gonna test my phone and camera.

BTW, it's best to format with FAT32, not FAT.
To err is human. To really foul up requires a computer.

Do we have an "official" FMCB USB device compatibility chart any where? I can definitely add all the USB devices that I have tried and are compatible.

Between all the gadgets I have laying around I could add quite a few devices. If they end up being compatible. Heck I have four USB HDD enclosures alone.

    Edit:
My old DigiCam Panasonic DMC-LC20 work with FMCB install, uLE, and SMS.
