Urgent Help!!! can't install fmcb 1.8c with ps3 mc adaptor

I tried to install free mc boot 1.8c to memory card with ps3 mc adaptor. My ps2 : SCPH-75004 . I also installed win-driver on my windows 7. Formating the memory card with mc-format was successfull. But when i start full-install it only comes to "copying ulaunchelf". Then occurs error: failed to copy ulaunchelf

I also used fmcb 1.8c full-repack. There it says: failed to sign boot kelf
Adaptor and 8mb mc are original.
I dont know what to do. i went through all forums and threads.

What are you doing? You cant use a PS3-PS2 Memory Card adapter you have to have a exploited PS2 with the white screen when you put your ps1 disk in.
If you dont have that you cant have a softmodded ps2 unless somebody made you a modded memory card. There is a spot somewhere where people can do it for free .

He can use it, you read the last post, "jcc59" made a new tut for him cause the original tut don´t works by him.....

Maybe your adapter or MC is not 100% orig. Have you look for VID/PID?? Here you can read about it.....

Oh I see there is another way OR the method I used was the HD advance disk and use the exploit from Skapps to get my exploit even thouh that was over 3-4 years ago

That´s while the Ps1-exploit works only with the "fat" one....

you can install the older fmcb with ps3mcatool through the mc adapter, and then you can install 1.8c over it.

I finally managed to install fmcb via ps3 adaptor. I found out that my 8 mb mc was not a genuine one. Despite my fake mc has 8mb, it looks like this :

Left counterfeit, right original.

so, did you get a new mc, or does ps3mcatool somehow work with fake memcards?
