Updating FMCB? –
Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it.
I currently have the newest version (1.6) but, I was wondering when a new version came out how easy/hard will it be to update and will I need to format my MC again thus having to reset all my personal settings again?
You run the installer for the new version and thats it, unless the install fails, you dont need to reformat the MC
If you have a Multi-Version installed, then you will need to Uninstall it first, if you dont format the card. Other than that, the installer will install only the files from the INSTALL folder. Im guessing this will always be the case, but still too early to tell.
Your FREEMCB.CNF will however be over-written with a default copy as the new configurations for V1.6 are different and not compatible with the last version 1.5, but it is uncertain if this will be necessary for the next version update, as we dont know how drastic a change will be required to improve the configuration settings.
As time draws near to the next release, the changes and whatever impact it will have on updating the previous install will be explained, as will all new update releases.
SCPH-30001 [V4] - unmodded (2)
SCPH-30001-R [V5] DMS4 Pro SE
SCPH-50001-N [V9] CC 2.0 SLE
SCPH-79001 [V16] Silver - unmodded
Dont know why, but for me the setup stops when there is already FMCB installed on the MC. I tried it on 3 consoles and every time I had to uninstall them manually before it worked.

At all 3 I had to access the memory by ULE and delete all the FMCB folders manually before the installation would work.
