iv done a lot of research, about ps2 soft-modding
but i want to know:
can you do it without any games?
i want to know if i can do it with a usb

if not can some1 send me a memory card with the exploit on it?
i dont want to open my ps2 fat

for softmoding like FMCB you dont need to open your PS2.

You really didn't do much research if you're asking these questions. There are many ways to get the installer elf to run. If you don't want to open up your PS2 you can try to get your hands on an original Action Replay, Codebreaker, or Gameshark disc. You can attempt a cogswap to do a disc swap without opening up the PS2. You can find instructions online on how to make the "tool" from an old hotel key card or the like. You can get the official PS3 usb memory card adapter. There is a tool which will install FMCB right from your computer. Or you can get someone to install it for you. There's a thread specifically for that option.

I aldready made a cogswap thing but idk if I would need it

I have heard of the independence exploit but idk how to set up the memory card.
In my country it is rly expensive to buy burned games, but when I visited another country I saw that the ps2 played back ups, likely through a memory card exploit. Hence i would like a memory card w/ whatever stuff is useful

for softmoding like FMCB you dont need to open your PS2.

For the USB installer, search for "A new way to install FMCB" in this forum. Sorry I can't post links yet

but that search should find the thread. The tool, itself, is called PS3MCA-tool. Google will probably find for you as well. But you need to purchase the proper piece of hardware to use it.
