Just wanted to say thanks for this tutorial. It, alongside a little innovation on my part [more like blind experimenting, hurrr.] lets me use raw codes/boot imports without ever having to swap a disc. :3
o: Well, that is until the new FMCB comes out, then I can just launch the coder elf from the browser. This is an awesome substitute 'til then though.
Kudos.
Yo, Just joined when i was searching the interwebz and found this post... sadly the link is busted. Have you posted your tutorial elsewhere? maybe one more up to date or something of the like?
Why do you even want to use that method?
Since FMCB 1.7 there is an automatic disc-detection-routine for all kind of disc-types including ESR-Discs.
Simply install the newest FMCB-Version and it should fit your needs (even if you didn't described, what you wanted to do).
The method is simple done by embedding an ELF into a KELF (properly signed to you MC), rename it to dvdplayer.elf and create the other DVD-Player-Files, to create a valid "DVD-Player-Update".
Also to note, this thread is 2 years old......you should always search for more 'up-to-date' info in a forum such as ours, where development is the main.![]()
