Hi, this might sound like a lame question, but here goes:

On my sensor modded PS2, I booted into the BIOS/Browser without a disc in, and deleted some of my saved games. I was wondering how I could boot up my disc if I put one in the tray (since it's modded, it won't know if I put in a disc or not because there is no sensor to say that the tray is open)? I tried "Launch Disc" with a disc in the tray, and that basically just took me back to the BIOS screen, and nothing really happened. The laser didn't move, and the disc didn't spin. Is there a way to make it boot the disc so that I don't have to reset the console?

Another question, even though I have Swap Magic, I'd still rather use my Action Replay disc to use cheats. However I believe that (I haven't actually tried this, but I can assume that; ) the disc won't stop spinning when I try to swap the disc, but I don't want to ruin my motor. Is there any way I can stop it like that? Or am I going to have to just stick with Swap Magic cheats? BTW, I don't have the Max Media Edition of ARMAX. Only the regular Action Replay Max.

Thanks for any and all help!

The PS2 only checks for a disc on startup, or after it's detected the disc tray/lid has been opened. So, you'd have have to trip one of the lid sensors. Any sensor will do, there's a very simple one on my satin silver that's just where the lid locks down. I have a small piece of plastic that I have taped in place. Easy to remove, easy to replace.

For cheating, I use Free MCBoot, a patched codebreaker elf (meant for HDD loading), and ESR. From Free MCBoot, I have codebreaker set in the main menu. After choosing my codes in codebreaker, start game instead sends me to ulaunchelf. From there, I put in a game disc and just pick which version of ESR to use. (codebreaker doesn't like it if a disc is in the drive beforehand)

HELP! FreeMCBoot won't boot anymore! I've reset my console like 10 times and sometimes it comes up, sometimes it doesn't. And when it flashes FreeMCBoot on the screen, it goes into BIOS (I didn't have a disc in the tray), and it shows NONE of the FreeMCBoot stuff! No ULaunch, no FreeMCBoot, no Launch Disc, no nothing, except Browser and System Configuration! Do I have to re-install FreeMCBoot or what? It just doesn't seem to be working. And when I do have a disc in the tray, it doesn't do what it's supposed to do (for example, PSXLauncher isn't working anymore, because it won't boot up ULaunch).

EDIT: I re-installed FMCB, and now it's working fine.
