THANK THE HEAVENS!!! for some reason when i tried for about 5 times normal booting from normal to ntsc then i tried special boot then it WORKED WOOOOOT!!!!

Sorry for long thread but please help(my ps2 is a fat one and i use a thick piece of paper to slide open the disc tray does the same thing as the swap magic tray tool thingy)

Hey guys I need help, I used swap magic to install fmcb on my ps2 mem card a while back, for some reason if my USB is in the ps2 the swap magic logo would freeze so i finally found a way to use a CD with the files instead of a USB and tried running the burned CD with swap magic(3.6) I have both CD and DVD dunno which i used but id assume i used the CD one... and woo successful had a lot of fun playing games but i gave that mem card to my cousin. I bought a new one and decided to fmcb it again.(I got a new memcard from my cousin 8gb mini fun kingston, my old one was some random 2gb both were FAT32 the old one wasnt in defualt so i had to set it up but both cases couldnt successfully install so i used CD.

What happened was i went through my old CD that had the burned files.. tried them all and none of them read positive using swap magic 3.6 CD all it say is not valid ps2 disc..... So i checked my DVD and god knows that i wasted a few burning and having them not work..... the funny thing was i went through all my DVD about 1-3 a few times and all it said was not valid ps2 disc... but once by a miraculous chance... whether i pressed READ and went to chill somewhere or i put in the disc and i forgot to press the launch disc button... but either way after a while i came back to ps2 and boo... ulauchelf luaunched.. but it said something about not being able to read so i turned it off (found out later that that's supposed to be natural) tried a few more times same result never happened.

Back to CD i found the guide that had me sucessfully burned to CD and had it read the CD method ( I assumed since so many failures that this method in particular, since it worked last time will work this time but it didnt work)on FMCB site... did it 2 times.. yes BURNED ON 2 DIFF disc. Just to see if i messed up one first but both times it says not valid disc.. PLEASE HELP ME I really want to play NA iron triangle ^_^

    WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!

what you need to do is try another USB stick. it is very easy to install FMCB if you already have a swapmagic disk.
download the updated newbie package .
format the USB to FAT32. if the stick has any of that U3 stuff then go to the manufacturer and get the removal tool. then format it...
now in the ROOT of the stick make a folder in upper case /SWAPMAGIC
in that folder put a copy of uLe renamed to SWAPMAGIC.ELF yes all in capitals.
when you put the stick in the PS2 and boot the swapmagic disk it should see the folder on the stick and boot the SWAPMAGIC.ELF file automatically. you will still see the swapmagic splash screen first.....
now you have uLe running on the PS2 use the file browser to navigate to /mass this is the USB stick and then launch the FMCB installer.. and then just follow the bouncing ball..... lol
    easy as that.....

Actually spud, it's resolved already. Says so at top of post (and in edit reason).

    Good, concise explanation, though.

Might be worth mentioning in the FMCB guides that v3.3 only loads ELF's from memory card 0, Mass support wasn't added till v3.6.

    "mc0:/SWAPMAGIC/SMBOOT0.ELF" - Up + L1
    "mc0:/SWAPMAGIC/SMBOOT1.ELF" - Up + L2
    "mc0:/SWAPMAGIC/SMBOOT2.ELF" - Up + R1
    "mc0:/SWAPMAGIC/SMBOOT3.ELF" - Up + R2
    "mc0:/SWAPMAGIC/SWAPMAGIC.ELF" - Starts automatically.
