Hi there, so I recently installed Free McBoot to my memory card and all was fine, then I decided to patch my copy of SSX 3 so it would work with free mcboot everything seemed fine and I booted my game getting the snowflake loading screen however now the game never proceeds past this point, has anybody had similiar issues? also I was previously using the swap magic 3.8 method and now it seems to be failing as well even with my old disc. Am I suddenly having hardware issues for this one game alone or is there something going on that I can't seem to figure out?

I suppose that this should have been mentioned in the FMCB guides, but since I don't think it was: FMCB should not affect the playability of your Playstation 2 games.

If your console has a modchip, you might have to disable it.

@OP: What if you booted up your console without your FMCB MC inserted? Will the game run properly?

nope it doesn't now and it did before so I don't know what's up also even though my comp can't run it at full speed I loaded both the disc and iso with pcsx2 and the game boots fine no hanging on the snow flake. This is so irritating as my PS3 is in the shop and I really wanted to play the game until next month when I get my ps3 and the new game...

If the game can no longer run off your console, without FMCB loaded... this means that it's either your console that has a problem (E.g. weakening laser or a general hardware problem) or your game disc has gone bad.

I can't figure out why it goes to the initial load screen and it's only for this game though...
