Ive been going through the trouble of trying to mod a ps2 slim 75001
The further I get into it, the further I seem like I'm falling behind

    I purchased a 007 Nightfire Disc

Successfully blocked all sensors, and then burned a working backup that will boot Cogswap (with the right size)
I've tried creating other backups to load the ULauncher cause it would totally take out the need for Cogswap at this moment
I'm unable to create a backup that will load Ulauncher or FreeMcboot.

about 10 discs later, trying to create a copy that will boot from cogswap I'm close to giving up

Tried creating a ulaunch disc (4.12 on cd) which stays at a black screen when swapped from cogswap and a mcboot disc that keeps spinning
Is there something more that I'm missing getting the disc to load? I'm so close yet i feel so far away..

Thought it would all be easy once I got into cogswap.
Perhaps going with a different game would be a better option, but if i'm unable to get ulauncher to come up or free mcboot
I believe i'd just be running into the same error as I am now.

proved and many have achieved this with (007). So if you really changed your copy works well, there's no reason not to work.
may be that you are not changing the time or the right time in the swap of the game.

also follows a tip from a new one here:http://psx-scene.com/forums/f153/ps2...tml#post939481 (PS2 Game Swap Trick - List Submissions)

    Hi,

I presume that you have unmodded ps2. I also had trouble running Cogswap CD so after about 20 discs and hand full of my hair, I decided to give up on Cogswap. I went out and rented a modded PS2 (just make sure it is below 9xxxxx series so swaping from-to USB works). Burned uLaunch CD run it than run FMCB an install to MC....

Dunno if this is what you need, but if it is just softmodding than you can overcome CogSwap problem (if you can't get a hold of a modded PS2 than you are in a pickle and should continue trying till you succeed).

    A question....

Have you use the normal uLE.ELF or the uncompressed uLE.ELF??

Cause you have to try with the uncompressed uLE....

Had tried with the uncompressed version

Thinking it might be easier to pick up a Need For Speed Underground 2 and try with that
