SCPH70004... but I only have a mac.

Hi people,

I just recently bought a 2nd hand PS2 slim model SCPH70004. I used to have an awesome grey massive playstation 1 but that one seemed to have disappeared over the years. I had a Gameshark chip for that one but it's all gone.

So anyway, I am now the owner of a PS2 slim. I read the whole day about getting it modded and bought the stuff I needed.

I now have:

-One Playstation2 Slim model SCPH70004
-Need For Speed Underground 2 (since it was green in the list of compatible games)
-An 8 mb official sony memory card
-A 2gb USB stick


Is it possible to mod my PS2slim since I only have a Macbook Pro? I got stuck at part 1 since DVD decrypter is only .exe and I tried several mac programs without succes.

Would be lovely if someone could help me out.

If you can edit the ISO file on your mac computer, then Disk Utility will allow you to burn it onto a DVD. IF all else fails, just find a windows computer you can use for the computer portion of the install or use BootCamp to install windows onto a partition on your mac.

Hmm... Come to think of it. I got bootcamp, but it's only a 20gb partition and it's completely cramped with only COD1. (I know, it's a classic)

Anyway, I got bootcamp but I guess I need enough disc space to save the ISO of the NFS2?

boot into windows with bootcamp and use any partition utility to resize your windows partition. Paragon partition manager is my personal favorite.

So you're suggesting to just try to install the Free MC Boot on windows. So there is no decent possibility to get this PS going on a mac?
(thx for the idea of enlarging my bootcamp partition though)

you actually do the install on the ps2, not your pc. to rebuild your iso you need windows-only software, so mac is a big no-no

Sweet, I think I managed to swap the old NTGUI with the new one and change the bytes to 915196.

Now... All I have to do is write the new ISO on a blank dvd?

yes, then boot the original game, swap with the backup and launch whatever option uses ntgui.

Didn't work.. dunno where i ****ed up. As soon as I swap at the main menu the music stops... but I can still browse through the menu. When I press "online" the game Jams and nothing happens...
anyone know what's wrong?
