I guess you can burn an action replay or codebreaker iso on a dvd and use it to install FMCB.
FMCB wonīt work on his 90004 1C console.
But he can set "quick-buttons" to some .ELFīs (OPL, SMS, uLE....) with his chip....

Hi there, i have a 90010 i just bought. i tried a mc with fmcb that i prepared on a friend's 79001, but it wont work on my console. I guess it's because different regions, and maybe my 90010 doesn't work at all with fmcb. mine has no date code, it only has "90010a" and driver is 2.0. Do you know any way i can get fmbc to work on my ps2? no swap magic can be found here in my country......
Download the FMCB 1.8C-package (itīs region free) on a USB-drive, and install FMCB on your own MC with your friends MC on your friends PS2....
I already replied to another of your posts in another thread today, so I'll keep this reply short.
If you bought that console new in a store this year, then it was almost certainly produced later than the third quarter of 2008, when Sony switched all production to a new PS2 bios which prevents FMCB from working.
So most likely you'll have to use other methods to run PS2 homebrews and backup games, as described in my other reply.
If SwapMagic is not available in the stores in your country, it probably is available in other countries which are region-wise compatible.
So that is another thing you need to check up on.
Most likely your console is disc-boot compatible with either the USA or the Euro region.
And there are several ways to check which one it is.
If your original games are SCES or SLES versions, then your console boots European discs,
and if your original games are SCUS or SLUS versions, then your console boots US discs.
You can also ask your friends what BxEXEC-SYSTEM folder they have on their MCs. (assuming they too have some SCPH-xxx10 model).
They can check that with the FileManager of uLaunchELF, which is included with most FMCB installs.
If they have "BAEXEC-SYSTEM", then SwapMagic discs from the US region should work, but if they have "BEEXEC-SYSTEM" then you should be able to use SwapMagic discs from Europe (same as I use myself, for my SCPH-90004 console).
