    Hi everyone ,
    this forum is great .

I have a japanese old Playstation 2 model SCPH 10000 with a official PS2 sony memory card but unfortunately freemcboot does't work.
I have installed freemcboot 1.8b (that maybe can work with this model) on the memory via another fat playstation with modchip that support it and on this playstation goes very well but when I insert this memory card on this old jap model it doesn't work it turn on and load normal browser like if the memory card doesn't have freemcboot (totally ignored from this playstation).
Will one day a release that will support this old japan Playstation model (scph 10000) ?
    Thank you for Your help.

    Siggy.

Here you go. This is a tutorial for your PS2 model How to install FMCB on SCPH-10000 ([TUTORIAL] How to install FMCB on japanese models SCPH-10000 & SCPH-15000).
Here you will find a solution to get needed modules from your jap PS2 Needed Modules (I need eXtended modules ("XSIO2MAN", "XMCMAN", "XMCSERV" ...).

Also if you want to use the chip modded PS2 it has to be a japanese PS2 too because cross region installs are impossible.
The first link will show you how to install without modchip.

    Best regards

thanks for Your reply very great help but...
I really cannot understand how to extract XMCMAN, XMCSERV, XPADMAN and XSIO2MAN.
from my scph10000.bin bios dumped, there is some pc program that do this ?
I heard of radshell but.. seems to work only from a PS2 really I didn't understood how it work

then there is also a problem with this..

2 - Go to this topic and download Oliveira's attachment, grab the DVDELF.bin from the folder "DVDPLJ" and rename it to DVDELF.BIN.
    the link don't work

    Thank You.

9 - Download the attached ready to run BIDATA-SYSTEM, PS2 save builder and the Independence exploit.

10 - Decompress the Independence file and add your PS1 game code like titleman -a SLPM_861.42. Please note, use the file attached to this message to create your TITLE.DB, this app has TyRaNiD's fix specific for japanese models and was re-compiled by jimikaelkael.

11 - Open the BIDATA-SYSTEM PSU and use PS2 Save Builder to add your TITLE.DB (delete the existing one first).

12 - Save the file to a format compatible with the tool that you will be using to upload this save with Action Replay Max, GameShark, HKEMS PS2 Adapter etc.

13 - After you finish uploading your save, trigger the exploit and you should see uLE after a white screen.

14 - Use uLE to access your pen drive and run FMCB installer.
With these steps of the tutorial you will install the old PS1 exploit to launch uLE.

Once you have this exploit working you are able to use "radshell" on your PS2 to copy the needed files to a usb-device and store them for later adding to the modules folder of FMCB install folder.

You will need radshell executable for PS2 (see attachment).

I never used it till now (i just loaded radshell and will try out). Questions on how to use it will answered later.

For now try to get the "PS1 Exploit" to work with the files attached in the Tutorial from Katananja.

The missing link to the "DVDPLJ" will be fixed by garyopa who has managed the transfer of the forums.

I can't find the post but the attachment EDITED! Link to JNABKs Space..

    Best regards

    Nope.

    YOU CANīT COPY FMCB!
It must be installed (or at least, you need a way to get the MCID of your MC, which involves starting Homebrew in a way...).

Please post the Model-Number of both of your PS2.
    The NoMod-PS2 is a 10000. o.k.
What kind of model is the chipped PS2?

If I remember correctly, the 10000-Models have a third exploit (not the PS1-Exploit and not the FMCB-"Softmod"...), which you maybe can start with also.

Do you have an Original NTSC-J PS1-Game (for exploiting your unmodded PS2 with the PS1-Exploit)?

The PS1-Exploit CAN be copied to another MC, but it is still Region-Specific.
Means, you can copy the TITLE.DB "per hand" to your MC and exploit a Target-FAT-PS2 simply this way, but you need to copy it in a Region-Specific folder (B?DATA-SYSTEM, where "?" is the region-specific letter.) + you need to edit the TITLE.DB to match the SLES/SLUS/..., which is different from game to game and even between games from region to region.
You need a PS1-Game, which is running on your FAT-10k-PS2.
This games SLUS/SLES/...-ID you use, to create a TITLE.DB.

No, FMCB can NOT be copied from one card to another. It must be installed to each card. There are several of us here that can do an install for you, check here:

If your PS2 is already modded you should be able to load a burned ULaunch disk, and load the installer that way...DJ

my question is this? were the required modules ripped from a later ps2 bios and placed in the modules folder in the fmcb installer? if not, it won't work.
