    Yeah, like the title says.
I´m searching for MCs, which have the same MC-Hardware-ID.
I think every Sony-MC have a unique MCID, but maybe Memor32 or some China-Clones have the same ID.

For what is it useful maybe?

    a. I try to reasearch some info about Cross-Region-MG-Encryption.
For example UK and EU-Region use the same DVDPLx, as far as I know (so filesize doesn´t matter while encryption in this case. MG-Region only, thought good for some research.)

    b. Those with same MC-ID can share there osdxxx.elf-files and copy it simply like a savestate to MC.

    ------------------------------------------------
Those who want to help me can do as following:

You do not need to post your MCID.

    1. Install FMCB 1.8 with 75KB-DVDPLx/DVDELF.bin (doesn´t matter, if Multi- or Normal-Install.).
    2. Copy the osdmain.elf to PC (use any way, you want).
    3. I think, getting md5 is enough (only need to use same FMCB-Version/1.8 and same DVDPLx).

...maybe it isn´t useful at all, but it is a try.

Yeah it's a sure thing, memor32 have all same ID... But you must already now this.
From what I've tested, I seriously doubt some unofficial memcards (except memor32) use the same ID.

Just be careful for the 75Kb DVDPL in yout tests, the one you search for the install is 75280 bytes, I ever some with a size cut down (certainly corrupted) to about 74000 bytes, and it install fmcb correctly with it too... but the MD5 checksum will not be the same.

Instead of md5summing why not use the former program that got the MC ID onto the usb drive and post the hex bytes / md5sum of that file?

My 16 mb upxus mc (actually two 8 mb with a switch) has the same ID for both 8 mb memories. What I dunno is if there's a shared rom containing the ID or what.

Can't check the ID right now though.

    Nobody started yet?

    Code:
    c5111019a54d6b9fc1e8efd2324a9ef6 *PS2MC01-mcid.bin
    8cc4b9c8dcdac45e4e322c6c826f397f *PS2MC02-mcid.bin
    3108e043c551597c0c8ed3fe6f17ff47 *PS2MC03-mcid.bin
    14e54014d75db133e0e688a2c4196687 *PS2MC04-mcid.bin
The md5sum tool that i use was the gnu one from here (DOS version):
    http://www.md5summer.org/download.html

Just drop your mcid.bin files inside the md5sum folder and run the bat, it will generate a mcid_sum.txt with the md5sum hash inside.

I also attached the colaan file to get your mcid.bin to your pen drive, the one that work at my SCPH-90006 is the romA-dvdelf.elf.

PS: PS2MC04 is a chinese clone.

@Jimmi: You´re right, I know it for Memor32 but wanna be sure for others such as the China-Clones and MAX-Cards too.

We can do something similar for Memor32-Users, like the Memento-Team.
There are a few regions, which have no way to install FMCB at all and maybe it is also a MG-Region, which is not supported by Memento.

This way, we/someone/everyone can provide pre-encrypted KELFs/OSD-/DVD-Upgrade-Files for those users.
    -For every MG-Region
-Will work, even if they have no way to execute an ELF, but a way to copy a save to MC simply (very easy on Memor32, but also a possibility for those with same MCID, but only a cheat-device or something, to copy a save...).
I think, it is even possible to flash custom Memor32-MC-Images.

Btw.: You´re right about the DVDPLx. We just need to be sure, that all people use the same DVDPLx, which matches their region (+ the same loader, which gets embedded).
...another idea are the MCID-Gens with no embed-process, or other ways.
We just need to make sure, all do it in the same(&proper) way.

Another thing, we might find out is...
-Which regions are compatible between others.
-Hopefully what´s the difference in encryption, between MG-Regions.

Like you saw, I´m interested in those MG-Regions which share the same DVDPLx, such as MG03(UK) and MG04(EU) [both DVDPLE, right? ].

    @katananja: THX for the attachement(s).

Btw.: @dlanor: If you read it,... You have the same MG-Region like me and have a MAX32, if I remember correctly.
    Maybe you can test it?
...or if you have 2 MAX32, you maybe can copy it directly from one to another.

@all: I´ll edit my first post later, to give proper instructions on how to.
Suggestions, such as sulokus are welcome.

    Why all this?
Well,... I think we will have some more ways to install and spread FMCB.
    That´s my main-intention for this.
-Giving all regions the opportunity/possibility to use FMCB.
-Making Cross-Region-pre-install possible, or at least learn more about MG.
-Giving some users a much easier way to install FMCB. Memor32-Users could be FMCB-"Ultraspreaders" in their country (where maybe currently no-one has a mod yet..., or even a working PS1-Exploit... The first one give it to 2-3 persons, those do the same and so on. Kind of snow-ball-system for spreading a free software + full "service"-install <-- What the volunteers do. ).

Thus the spread-sector of FMCB will grow more. ...more FMCB worldwide, yeah!
