I agree with both suloku & TnA that you should try an ISO of uLaunchELF from HDL instead of direct booting the installer with HDL.
Put the Installer and INSTALL folder on the USB and boot the installer with uLaunchELF.
uLaunchELF is an ELF launcher thats designed to boot an app and would be far more successful than HDL. HDL is not as stable since it has various patches that can be applied and it reacts differently in some console than others, so its not reliable as an ELF launcher. It was designed to run PS2 Games, not homebrew apps.

sorry for the late reply, i did it yesterday, i created an iso for uLaunchELF and installed it to the hdd and ran it from there. i ran mcboot from uLaunchELF and it installed perfectly. i have 4 ps2's with dead optic lenses. they are working perfectly now with hd loader. it is something like magic. i would like to thank to any one helped me in this topic an also the ones who compiled free mc boot and the configurator. thank you so so much.......
hi and thank you again for all the support. i want to ask another question. suloku is it possible to reconfigure the fmcb configurator to boot fmcb from hdd instead of mc or mass? can you make an update for that?
best regards........
Free McBoot installer uses libcdvd (cdfs: ), which is NOT compatible with HDLoader (cdrom0: ).
