Questions on ESR and MCBOOT

Hi, just learnt about this and upgraded from independance exploit to this with no problems.

however I have the following questions:
1. can MCBoot allow me to use my unofficial HDD as an official one?
2. can I get PS2 linux to install somehow?
3. Can I customise the menu to show my custom apps?
4. is HD loader able to install burnt iso backups rather than using hdld.

1. can MCBoot allow me to use my unofficial HDD as an official one?
-no, Free McBoot is only a Launching application, but designed to run without the need of a boot disc or modchip.

2. can I get PS2 linux to install somehow?
-sure there are guides and tutorials to do that, but has nothing to do with Free McBoot

3. Can I customise the menu to show my custom apps?
- Yes, Free McBoot comes with a program called Configurator and is desgined specifically to configure the Menu, fast boot discs , use ESR for backup DVDs, and much more. You can find full configuration info in the Advanced User Guide

4. is HD loader able to install burnt iso backups rather than using hdld.
- HDL wasnt designed to allow backups to install, but there are some tricks available to install backups directly with HDL, you will probably be better off using Winhiip and your PC instead and its much faster for installing. This also has nothing to do with Free McBoot, as it is an independent application.
