Questions about Installation on a Fat

I'm a bit new to the FMCB installation so I just have a couple of questions.

So my friend has just lent me his PS2 Slim until I can purchase one of my own, and I'm going to use it to make a FMCB memory card. Now after the memory card has been created will I be able to just take the card, put it in any PS2 with a compatible series/model number and have FMCB work on that PS2?

Any help is appreciated. And I apologize if this has been asked before.

If you have choose the "Multi-Install" in FMCB than.....

Thanks for the quick reply. Does the multi-install apply to the PS2 or does it just apply to the memory card?

the PS2. it allows for the various models in a region to find the correct boot folder. the multi install does not take up much more than a single install as the extra folders just redirect to the installed folder.... i hope i didnt make that too hard to understand...lol
