    Hey folks,

    what is the latest PS2 (european) hardware revision that supports FMCB?
    Also, were you able to gather more information on what Memory Card USB Adapter (Clone-) Models are compatible with the new method?

    Thanks guys!

    Latest that supports FMCB is 90004 datecode 8b
    About the cinese adapters , i have one that works on PS3 , installs just fine with the drivers provided here but when using the app it just fails to do anything . I think the problem lies in the software itself

    Check the output, and report it here.

    You can also try to check VID and PID as I suggested below (you didn't specified if your adapter is an official one).
    @jimmikaelkael: I have a 3rd party ps3 memcard adapter that works in my PS3. (It's this model)

    I have installed the driver, and when I try entering "ps3mca-tool.exe -i" I get the following errors:
    Adapter not attached: "Error: failed to attach USB device... (-1)"
    Adapter attached but no card inserted: "Error: no PS2 Memory Card detected... (-11)"
    Adapter attached and formatted official PS2 mem card inserted: "Error: no PS2 Memory Card detected... (-13)"

    I also checked the device properties for this adapter as follows:
    Device Instance Id: USB\VID_054C&PID_02EA\5&45EC3E8&0&1
    Hardware Ids: USB\Vid_054c&Pid_02ea&Rev_0001

    Please reply or PM if you would like me to test further. Thanks!

    Edit: @jimmikaelkael: I followed your earlier instructions for using the libusb-win32 Inf-Wizard, which gives a VID 0x054C and PID 0x02EA (This matches with the above info I gave in this post.) However, when the Wizard created an .inf file for me I made a diff with the .inf from the driver posted earlier in this thread, and the GUID is different. The file from the Inf-Wizard has the line:
    DeviceGUID = "{2A466BCE-A2FB-4059-ACCD-8E08CB8D7D04}"

    I just bought a ps3 memory adapter for $8 from Toys R U. If you guys want to get one try to check your local Toys R U to see if they have one before buying on amazon. I just did the installation and everything went smoothly. However, i had a problem with the ps3mca_windrv link as the file is no longer there. I think someone should put up a new link on the first page so new people like me can find it easier. I had to read the whole thread just to find a new link on page 8. Thanks to the people who made this mod which makes life so much easier for us user out there. Really appreciate it.

    i'm also having problems. the adapter i bought works with ps3 (but only with 8mb memcards).

    on pc, it gives error -13, with the same memcard that worked on ps3.

    I guess it's a clone adapter, I'm already in some test attempt tring to fix this.
    They all seems to fail on reading mc pages.
