PS2 won't read PS1 disc.
PS2 won't read PS1 disc. –

Alright, so I had FreeMcBoot installed on my ps2 - but somehow the memory become unformated, when I tried to play Hitman Blood Money with a MC on Slot 2 - which had a save and the MC 1 had not (but MC 1 had the FreeMCBoot)
First it started that Hitman blood money only read my 32mb MC as 8MB.
So after I turned off Hitman, PS2 browser told me that I had an unformatted MC1.
So I went and booted up my AR Max (not evo) disc and I formated my MC with it and it was working again but just no data.
So I went thru the process of redoing the installation
and to make the TITLE.DB, I use PS2 Exploit Utility, since I can put multiple games in one DB.
and I did everything else like my first install (first install I also used PS2 Exploit)
So I did everything 100% like the first time, but one problem is that both times my ps2 has a hard time reading black discs, hell it evens needs around 4 resets before it reads my blue backed PS2 disc - AR MAX and when it does read the AR MAX disc, it sounds like the PS2 will break and blow up.
so I used the SAME games as the first install, I even put tape around the disc for it to work the first time, so this time the same disc with tape - the PS2 reads it, then goes back to browser, the PS2 KNOWS there is a disc, since it shows me the black disc next to my MC.
I even tried runnign PS1 games without the MC, so no modding, and it still won't read it.
Did anyone have a problem like this where the PS2 is so stubborn to read a PS1 game - and then it finally reads one but then only a miracle will make it read the 2nd one?
Thank you
