Ps2 Ulauncher Help

I have a ps2 version 70012. I want to soft mod it and sensor modded and know how to do the swaptrick. Im using Need For Speed Underground 2. I ripped the iso, placed ulaunch on it with Apache 1.1, replacing the NTGUI. I burned with a Memorex burner on a Sony DVD-r using Imgburn on vista.

I followed the instructions on the freemcboot site then swapped the disc at the main menu, it worked and I went online and chose New/Edit. The game continues to run, however ulaunch doesn't boot. If i press X again, the screen turns black,stalls for a few seconds then either returns me to the Ps2 browser or says "Please insert PS2 Format Disc."
Can anyone tell me how to fix this.

I don't want to buy 007 yet because i'm mad cheap.

never done this myself but i think you need to use the uncompressed boot.elf . . . .. . . . . . there are quite a few threads here about this problem.... try searching...

I had the same trouble with two of the unconfirmed games. Tony Hawk and NHL. I had them so I gave them a try. Both of them gave me a disc error when loading the replaced the elf. I resorted to buying a used copy of 007 Agent Under Fire for a few dollars. That worked on the very first try.

Ugh. So I have to buy the 007 then, huh. I saw it last week in gamestop but I didn't buy it. I'll try getting it on monday.
