PS2 Slim McBoot –
04-22-2012,05:57 PM
Just got a PS2 Slim and looking to put free mcboot on it. I dont have an AR Max or anything like that. I do, however, have a friend with a PS2 Fat that is currently hacked in some way to play backups. Is it possible to use that system to put the proper files onto one of my memory cards to get mcboot installed on my slim?

yeah. then be easy for you!
since your ps2 is not the SCPH-900xx series with date code 8C and above.
put the package with the freemcboot 1.8c on a stick, then take your memory card with it. And on ps2 your friend run a multi-install on your memory card.
through whatever means he has to run homebrew (. elf). uLaunchELF more usual.
package FMCB v1.8C installer v0.93B

That did the trick. Now I am a little stuck on USB Advance. I have the ELF, but I am not sure how to point it to my game files. How do I install games? If it needs to be done via PC, I am on a Mac.

Is there anything specific I need to do to make OPL see games? Any certain directory?
