"PS2 Game Swap Trick" with MGS3: Snake Eater

I've followed the instructions to a tee. I've got the uLE DVD burned, but every time I swap out my original Snake Eater disc for the DVD, and go to camoflauge download, the screen goes black for a while and then gives me the "Please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 format disc."

Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong?
It's either a v8 or v7 (SPCH-39001)

Down at the bottom it says that.
I know it says unconfirmed, but I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work if there's an extra .ELF file on the disc.

There's also a Dummy.DAT on the original disc. Is that usual?

i can only assume your not swapping quick enough, since you are getting a blackscreen....then the error message.

I pulled those games listings from other places around net, so i couldnt confirm if it actually works.
